When will the next Captains Exam be given?
The last Captains exam was given in August 2022.
The Captains List was released in December 2022.
The Captain List expires in four years, five years in an Emergency, so the list should expire in December 2026.
A promotional exam list usually takes at least six months to generate.
So, I expect a Captain exam to be given in June 2026, approximately six months before the current list expires.
I typically begin a course six months before the exam, so I expect to begin a course in January 2026.
These dates are based on typical time frames and, of course, may change.
I, of course, will keep all my students up to date on any changes that might occur.
